Experts from Georgia, Azerbaijan and Turkey will discuss final issues on gas distribution to be extracted from Shah Deniz to 3 countries during the meeting in Baku on December 14-17, 2006.
Namik Aliyev, Azerbaijan Ambassador to Georgia, exclusively informed Trend that as a result of talks in Tbilisi, the Ministers decided that Turkey gas share in Shah Deniz, allocated for themselves in the amount of 300 mln cu. m., will be distributed among 3 countries.
Finally the issue will be resolved at a meting of experts in Baku, the diplomat said.
On January 1, 2007 Gasprom will increase gas prices for Georgia from $110 to $230 per 1 cu. m. Georgia is in talks with Iran, Azerbaijan and Turkey in search of alternative sources.
