Plans for Seven Bilateral Co-operation Documents to be Signed between Moldova and Azerbaijan - Ambassador

The Ambassador of Moldavia to Azerbaijan, Ion Robu, exclusively informed Trend that seven bilateral documents are expected to be signed on development of co-operation between Moldova and Azerbaijan during the forthcoming visit of the Prime Minister of Moldova, Vasili Tarleva, to Azerbaijan between February 22nd and 23rd.

The documents include four intergovernmental agreements, particularly agreements between the Governments of Azerbaijan and Moldova on co-operation in geodesy, cartography, cadastre, geo-information system and distance probing of lands; on co-operation in the sphere of migration; on co-operation and exchange of information fighting violation of economic and tax legislations and on co-operation in the field of environmental protection. The diplomat said that the documents are ready to be signed.

In addition, a number of projects of interdepartmental agreement have been prepared in the area of statistics, health and medical sciences and finance. The projects are at the final consent stage. According to the Ambassador, a meeting of the Moldovan-Azerbaijani Intergovernmental Economic Co-operation Commission and a business-forum are planned to be held during the visit to Baku. A delegation comprising of representatives from the Government and private sector are expected to arrive in Baku to attend the meeting and business forum.
