Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister in Syria
Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend A.Gasimova / The Honorable Consular of Azerbaijan to Lebanon, Nazikh Gassub, said that completing his official visit to Jordan, the Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan, Elmar Mammadyarov, left for Syria on 11 April. The Consular said that according to Mr. Mammadyarov's itinerary, during his visit to Damashg, the Minister will meet with the Syrian President, Speaker, Foreign Minister and representatives of Chamber of Trade and Industry. Discussions will be held regarding strengthening the political, economical and other bilateral relations, as well as opening the Azerbaijani Embassy in Syria.
On 13 April, Mr. Mammadyarov will leave for Lebanon from Damashg to hold negotiations with the President, Prime Minister, Speaker, Foreign Minister and other senior officials of the Country. Three to four agreements are expected to be signed in Lebanon. Azerbaijan Foreign Minister's visit to the three near- eastern countries started in Jordan (9-10 April) and will conclude on 13 April in Lebanon.
