Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend S.Ilhamgizi / The Central Council of the 'Borchali' National Movement reported that they oppose the visit of MPs from the Musavat Party to Georgia.

Azerbaijanis residing in Georgia hoped that the MPs' visit would fundamentally influence their problems.

"Contrary to our expectations, the MPs did not show an interest in the common problems of our compatriots. The MPs of the Musavat Party met with people who interested them and did not consider the problems of Azerbaijanis residing in Georgia. The aim of the MPs' visits to Georgian regions densely populated with Azerbaijanis is to generate contention among the local population, as well as to damage socio-political relations, established between the countries," the movement stated.

Similar visits will be met with protest action against MPs in the central streets of Tbilisi.

The National assembly of Georgian Azerbaijanis held similar protest actions.

"We went to Georgia with the aim to familiarize ourselves with the problems of Azerbaijanis residing in Georgia. During the visit eight meetings were held, as well as meeting with the public. The details of the visit will be revealed at a press-conference," Nasib Nasibli, a member of the MPs delegation from Musavat stated.
