Trial starts on head of construction company in Baku

At the Court on Serious Crimes, Azer Hamzayev accused under article 178.3.2 (fraud with causing serious injury) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan gave evidences.

In Baku a trial started on the criminal case of the head of Azik construction company.  

At the Court on Serious Crimes, Azer Hamzayev accused under article 178.3.2 (fraud with causing serious injury) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan gave evidences. He did not recognize himself guilty, saying that he had no intention to deceive the citizens. According to him, he took money to build housing for the citizens, but because of the arrest was not able to bring their work to the end.

In November 2007 a 35-year-old resident of Baku, the head of the Azik construction company, Azer Hamzayev concluded a contract with a resident of Baku Mushfig Huseynov to construct a house for him and took 100,000 manat from him. However, workers of Hamzayev's company carried out the work poorly and did not complete the construction.

However, Hamzayev appropriated the funds received from Huseynov.

In addition, in 2007-2008 Hamzayev deceived other 22 citizens in Baku, appropriating their money. He was arrested due to complaints of deceived citizens.
