Operation on corruption facts conducted at Azerbaijani Ministry of Education (UPDATE)

An operation regarding corruption facts was conducted at the Azerbaijani Ministry of Education, law-enforcement agencies reported.
According to information, the operation was conducted at the Education Ministry in connection with the criminal case launched by Anti-Corruption Department under Prosecutor General.
Some employees of the Ministry have been detained during the operation.
The Anti-Corruption Department conducted an inspection at the initiative of the Ministry and as a result, detained ministry's employee Orkhan Kerimov, a source at the ministry told Trend.
The head of the Press Service of the Republican Prosecutor General's Eldar Sultanov in an interview with Trend confirmed the operation at the Ministry of Education. " Anti-Corruption Department and National Security Ministryconducted a joint operation at the Ministry of Education," Sultanov said.
He said the details of this operation will be reported later.
