Hearings of Azerbaijani Former Economic Development Minister Continue by Evidence

Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. E.Javadova / The criminal trial involving Azerbaijan's former Minister of Economic Development, Farhad Aliyev, his brother Rafik Aliyev, former President of the Azpetrol Group of Companies, and seventeen other people, has been continued at the Court of Heinous Crimes presided by Judge Tofik Pashayev.

The questioning was held due to appropriation of vouchers, assigned to be distributed amongst veterans and disabled people in compliance with the decree of the President in 2004.

Victims claimed to of appealed for their vouchers since August to November of 2004, but instead of vouchers they received AZM 20,000 (old manats).

Taking this as insult they refused to take the money. The victims demanded their vouchers from the Court, appropriated by Farhad Aliyev.

The criminal trial will continue on the 19th of June.
