Azerbaijan's ASAN Visa obtaining model is the best way to attract tourists and can fully change the tourism sector in Nepal, Founder and CEO of the Asian Institute of Diplomacy and International Relations (AIDIA) Sunil Khatri Chhetri told Trend on Dec. 1.
According to Chhetri, Nepal wants to attract more tourists to the country, but for this it’s necessary to facilitate the process of obtaining a visa to the country.
"The Azerbaijani model of visa obtaining in three steps is the best solution that we know. In March last year, representatives of our government, at the invitation of the Azerbaijani side, visited the ASAN Service. Moreover, our representatives through the website of the ASAN Visa Service were able to rapidly obtain the visa," he added.
The founder and CEO of AIDIA noted that the government of Nepal is currently working on an agreement with the government of Azerbaijan on the implementation of this solution in the country.
"In the next few months, the new government of Nepal will complete the study of this issue. This is a very convenient model that can completely change the tourism sector in our country," he stressed.
