BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 19. The trade turnover of Azerbaijan with European countries exceeded $8.1 billion from January through April 2022, and the share of these countries in total Azerbaijani foreign trade turnover amounted to 79.7 percent, Trend reports with reference to the bulletin of State Customs Committee.

Azerbaijan’s trade with EU countries grew by 105.29 percent from January through April 2022, or $4.2 billion year on year. Share of these countries in the total import and export operations of Azerbaijan increased by 11.73 percent to 79.74 percent.
Azerbaijan’s foreign trade turnover totally increased by 60.35 percent from January through April 2022, or $5.97 billion compared to the same period last year - from $9.8 billion to $15.8 billion.
Share of exports in the structure of foreign trade turnover amounted to $11.8 billion, which is $5.4 billion (85.78 percent) more than from January through April 2021. Exports accounted for 74.53 percent of foreign trade, compared with 64.33 percent a year earlier.
Azerbaijan’s imports increased by $511.6 million (from $3.5 billion to $4.04 billion) or 14.5 percent during the reporting period. Imports accounted for 25.47 percent of foreign trade, compared with 35.67 percent a year earlier.
