Turkiye increases cement export to Georgia

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 16. Turkiye increased cement exports to Georgia by 49.3 percent (to $24.9 million) in the first five months of 2022 compared to the same period in 2021, the Turkish Ministry of Trade told TurkicWorld, Trend reports.

According to the ministry, Turkiye increased cement exports to Georgia by 73.3 percent (to $6.1 million) in May 2022 compared to May 2021.

Cement exports from Turkiye increased by 28.5 percent from January through May 2022 compared to the same period last year and amounted to $2.3 million.

Turkiye exported cement worth $446,284 in May 2022, which is 16.2 percent more than in May last year.

Ministry also noted that Turkey exported cement in the amount of $5.1 million over the past 12 months (from May 2021 through May 2022).
