BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 21. The Turkish port of Kocaeli in the city of Izmit received 5,670 vessels from January through July 2023, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Türkiye said, Trend reports.
The Turkish port of Kocaeli received 1,707 vessels under the flag of Türkiye and 3,963 vessels under the flags of other countries during the specified period.
The ports of Türkiye received 5,606 vessels in July 2023.
During this period, the number of ships accepted by Turkish ports under the flags of other countries amounted to 3,628, while under the flag of Türkiye - 1,978.
The ports of Türkiye received 34,444 vessels from January through July 2023.
In general, the number of vessels accepted by Turkish ports under the flags of other countries amounted to 23,728, and under the flag of Türkiye - 10,716, during this period.
