The Azerbaijani State Committee on Lands and Cartography has will develop and use the Digital Systems as well as the paper maps , Garib Mammadov, the chairman of the State Committee, said on a press conference on 28 September.
"Digital maps enable us to find either the borders and the forms of ownership" Mammadov stressed.
Mammadov said that geographic data system is developed at a $3.2mln grant, allotted to Azerbaijan by the Japanese Government.
Digital map includes electronic description of the building in an appropriate scale, design and coordinate system as an aggregate description of metric (space) and semantic (attributive) peculiarities (lake, forest, etc.) and conditional (flood zone, administrative border) of facilities of the area.
