Baku Stock Exchange Hold Negotiation to Conclude a Memorandum with Moscow Inter-bank Stock Exchange

Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr.I.Khalilova / The Baku Stock Exchange (BSE) launched negotiations with Moscow Inter-bank Stock Exchange (MIBSE) to sign a memorandum on joint cooperation of stock exchanges, stated BSE chairman Khayal Abdinov.

The first meeting with the leadership of the Moscow Stock Exchange which unites currency and stock markets was held in Baku in October 2007. A range of issues concerning joint actions and exchange of information were discussed at the meeting.

MIBSE president Alexander Potemkin believes that the legislation of the both countries allows free implement capital at market especially securities. Azerbaijani emitters may allocate their securities at capital market of Moscow.

"Such an operation may be implemented jointly with Azerbaijani-Russian enterprises. We should start from something," Potemkin said.

Azerbaijan mostly interested in attraction of investments by issue and allocation of its securities.

BSE signed a memorandum on long-term cooperation with the Warsaw and Istanbul Stock Exchange.
