Azerbaijani Parliament Passes Law on Automobile Transport at Second Reading

Azerbaijan, Baku, 5 March / Trend / The Azerbaijani Parliament passed the Bill on Automobile Transport during its second reading.

According to the head of Parliament's standing committee for economic policy Ziyad Samadzade, the Bill stipulates regulations for passenger and cargo transportation by vehicles to promote an improvement of responsibility of drivers and transporters. The Bill also envisages the inspection of the technical state of vehicles, and it will improve the quality of services provided to passengers and consignors of goods.

In the Bill, bus drivers who transport passengers must have a category D driving licence, be over 21 years-old, and have over three years experience.
