The Azerbaijani current banknotes in circulation and money reserves created on basis of banknotes will not be changed or replaced in connection with renaming the National Bank of Azerbaijan into the Central Bank according to the constitutional amendments, the NBA said.
"Depending on results of referendum, changes can be made to banknotes in circulation and new face-values in case of request. Banknotes in circulation will be legal way of payment until their circulation term ends," the bank said.
