The technical council on standardization and technical regulation was established under the State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Patents to determine the main priorities of national standardization and technical regulation, the State Committee said on August 28.
A source said that main activity of the Council is to form and introduce public policy in standardization, as well as preparation for the concept, reflecting basic objectives, responsibilities, trends of national standardization system.
Moreover, the established agency will conduct analysis of corresponding branches of economy and prepare proposals to introduce international and regional standards in Azerbaijan.
