The Azerbaijani Labor and Social Protection Ministry and the International Labor Organization (ILO) will hold a sub-regional conference on "Employment during the global financial crisis" in Baku by late 2009, head of the Ministry's International Cooperation Department, Elnur Sultanov, said on Sept. 25.
Currently, the ministry is negotiating with the ILO to conduct a sub-regional conference in Baku, Sultanov said.
According to Sultanov, the Azerbaijani Labor and Social Protection Ministry is the initiator of the conference.
"The problem of employment in the period of global financial crisis will be the main theme of the conference," Sultanov added.
