The Azerbaijani Ministry of Labor and Social Protection has held 53 employment fairs all over Azerbaijan, including the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic in January-August, the ministry said on October 8.
"About 1,743 enterprises provided 14,028 jobs at fairs," the message said.
About 4,910 people were provided with jobs, 465 people went to specialized courses and 282 people began dealing with public operations as a result of fairs.
Besides Baku and Ganja, fairs 'First step to career' were held for students in the Absheron peninsula. About 330 enterprises provided 1,834 jobs. About 384 people were provided with jobs.
Next fair will be held in Sumgait on October 9. About 288 enterprises will provide 2,651 jobs, 1,452 are in private sector. Jobs will be offered in state and foreign companies situated in Sumgait.
About 90 enterprises situated in Yasamal, Binagadi regions of Baku, as well as Khachmaz, Devechi, Siyazan, Khizi, Absheron and Gubadli regions will offer 756 jobs.
