Azerbaijan has started to form gold reserves, which are included in the country's strategic reserves. According to Azerbaijani Finance Minister Samir Sharifov, the first consignment of gold under the product sharing agreement (PSA) supplied to the country and deposited in the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.
"Currently, we are talking about getting the second consignment of gold, which is processing in the enterprise abroad," Sharifov said. "It is expected that soon the country will receive the consignment and it will also be included in its gold and foreign currency reserves," he added.
The first consignment of gold amounted to 99.5 kilograms, and the second will exceed 100 kilograms.
