CBA: Over 95 percent of Azerbaijani exports fall to petroleum products

Azerbaijan exported petroleum products worth $18.4 billion in January-September, or 95.2 percent of the country's total exports, the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) reported. The export of petroleum products increased by 36 percent compared to the same period in 2009.

Of the total volume, $1.164.6 million fell to oil products and $17.3 billion fell to crude oil exports. The Azerbaijani International Operating Company (AIOC) exported oil products worth $16.3 billion. Other companies exported oil worth $943.6 million, of which $87.6 million fell to Shah Deniz, and $855.9 million to the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR).

The total value of exports attributable to the non-oil sector was $974.5 million.
