Derailment of some empty freight cars in the territory of the Khirdalan station has not affected the train schedule and has not caused any damage to railway bed, Azerbaijan Railways spokesman Nadir Azmammadov said.
He said derailment of the freight cars occurred during shunting operations.
"Several cars were set on the rails and continued their movement in the shortest period of time. As a result of the incident no one was injured, and there was no damage to the railroad," Azmammadov said.
