A Kazakh company will invests $500 million in the Sari Gunay Gharve gold mine in the Kurdistan province , IRNA reported quoting Kurdistan Governor Alireza Shahbazi as saying.
"We hope to witness Kazakh company starts the extraction operation from gold mine, the implementation of this joint plan will develop economy," he said.
He told a Kazakh representative that if the implementation of the Gharve gold mine begins soon, the province will assign a contract for other local gold mines to the company.
Kazakhstan can also cooperate in agricultural and tourist fields, he added.
The engineering process of this mine will start in near future by cooperation of Iranian- Kazakh Company Iran Eurasia gold.
