Kazakhstan establishes new logistics center

A new logistics center -National Center of Transport Logistics Development was established under the National Company Kazakhstan Temir Joly (Railway), Company Spokesman Asel Gabbasova told Trend.
"The new center will become a strategic partner in the field of transport and logistics studies, as well as coordinator of all new business initiatives and projects in transport logistics," she said.
Gabbasova said the national objective - Kazakhstan's transformation into the trade, logistics and business "hub" of the region - has become the main prerequisite for the Logistics Center.
"The new center will facilitate the development of the country's transport and logistical capacity through the information-analytic provision, support, and development of practical recommendations for decision-making on transport policy. The centre also planned to organize specialized conferences and business forums for industry professionals and activities to develop qualification, create a single information portal on transport logistics and issue guide for logistics operators and leading companies in Kazakhstan,' Gabbasova said.
