Iran opens credit line to revamp Cuban energy systems

The deputy head of the National Water Resources Institute of Cuba in a meeting with the Iranian deputy energy minister in Tehran on Wednesday said that Iran has opened a 500-million-euro credit line for Cuba to revamp its energy systems.

The Cuban official added that during the recent visit of Iranian energy minister to Cuba, the two sides discussed issues such as renovating mineral water production lines and exploiting river waters in Cuba, the ISNA news agency reported.

The Iranian official, for his part, expressed Iran's readiness to implement various projects in Cuba in water and electricity sectors.
