French company signs major contract with Turkmenistan

A contract was signed between the Turkmen government and the French VINCI Construction Grands Projets in Ashgabat, the "Neutral Turkmenistan" newspaper reported on Saturday.
VINCI Construction Grands Projets President Alain Bonnot expressed his company's interest to further strengthen business contacts with Turkmenistan.

The question is about construction of Turkmen government building with a total area of more than 54,000 square meters in Ashgabat.

Under the contract, French specialists will deal not only with design and construction of the building, they will also equip it with modern equipment, as well as beautify the surrounding area.

Construction work will begin in December 2011, while the building is expected to be commissioned in full readiness in December 2013.

A number of significant joint development projects have been already implemented with this French company. In particular, VINCI Construction Grands Projets built a modern cinema demonstrating 3D movies in Ashgabat.
