The Dispute Resolution Council at the Georgian Finance Ministry recorded 1,680 complaints in 2011. The Council has completed process on 1,226 cases.
Some 784 received complaints have been fully or partially satisfied, applicants have been refused on 299 cases, and 143 complaints were not considered due to a need for different procedures or by reason of the termination of the dispute.
The average duration for considering complaints was 27 days.
"Despite the fact that appealing to the council is not necessary and a complainant may appeal to the court, number of entrepreneurs who prefer to address the disputable issues at the council increases," the ministry said.
