Iran resumed the flow of natural gas to Turkey on Monday after repairing the pipeline which was damaged by an explosion last week and cut off supply, the Mehr News Agency reported.
"The cut will last for some four to five days. It isn't known why the explosion occurred, but the cause is being investigated," the Turkish Energy Ministry official said on June 28, Press TV reported.
Meanwhile, provincial authorities said in a statement issued on Thursday that there was "no sign or indication that explosives were used on the pipeline."
The Turkish official added that officials from the state-owned Petroleum Pipeline Corporation (BOTAS) have reached the scene of the incident.
Iran exports some 25 million cubic meters of gas to Turkey per day.
Iran is Turkey's second-largest gas supplier after Russia, supplying around 10 billion cubic meters of gas per year.
