Georgian Railway announces international tender

JSC Georgian Railway has announced an international tender for the repair of wheel sets on freight cars.
Georgian Railway announced an international tender for repairs of 400 wheel sets at factory conditions for freight wagons with the formation of the new wheel sets from a solid-rolled wheel in accordance with the instructions for inspection, repair and building of wagon wheel sets.
The document notes that applicants participating in the tender must submit a signed bid indicating the value of the lot, the terms of the tender offer and the method of payment and a signed affidavit and a guarantee (only bank or insurance policy) to the sum of five per cent of the total bid value.
The cost of the tender offer can be presented in national currency or in U.S. dollars.
The applicant must also submit an extract from the business register and a certificate from the judiciary (only in Tbilisi and Kutaisi) that there is no bankruptcy paperwork in respect of the applicant. These must be submitted after the publication of the tender announcement. Representatives of foreign countries can submit documents in accordance with their local laws from the relevant government authorities.
In the event of determining the winner, the applicant must provide a bank guarantee on fulfilment of the contract in the amount of five per cent of the cost.
Under the terms of the announced tender, repair of wheel sets wagons should be carried out within two months from the date of the contract and the transfer of refurbished wheels must be made no later than one month from the date of their transfer to the repair.
