Goods imported and exported by Kazakhstan decrease in price in May compared to April, the Kazakh Statistics Agency reported.

"Export prices fell by 0.1 percent in May compared to April, while import prices dropped by 1.3 percent," the agency said.

Among exported goods, coal increased in price by 6.1 percent, aluminum - by 5 percent, zinc - by 3.4 percent, lead - by 1.7 percent, oil products - by 1.5 percent, rolled ferrous metals - by 1.3 percent, cotton - by 4.5 percent, wool - by 1.4 percent, wheat - by 1.1 percent. Meanwhile, gas condensate export increased in price by 11.9 percent, ferroalloys - by 10.1 percent, liquefied propane and butane - by 7.1 percent, copper - by 1.2 percent, tobacco - by 2.4 percent.

An increase in prices on importing the goods is as follows: vegetable oil - 3.6 percent, vegetables - by 2.1 percent, tea - by 1.9 percent, sausages - by 6.4 percent. Meanwhile, import of medicaments decreased in price by 11.8 percent, coffee and pasta - by 8.3 percent, margarine - by 8 percent, wood - by 5.3 percent, fish - by 4.1 percent, rise - by 2.4 percent, poultry - by 2.3 percent.
