The State Committee on Standardisation, Metrology and Patents of Azerbaijan has included data on 20,805 certificates of conformity issued by the Central Laboratory of the State Customs Committee and certified compliance of vehicles with Euro 2 ecological standards in the state register, the committee said on Thursday.
The committee included 2790 certificates of conformity in the register which were accredited by certification bodies in the first half of 2012.
The data is kept in a newly created e-roster base of certificates of conformity.
In the first half of the year, the activity of two bodies certifying the quality management system and two inspection bodies were agreed in the country and a body providing services on accreditation was accredited. In addition, eight territorial divisions of an Experimental Test Centre (AzTEST) were accredited as certification bodies of consumer goods.
'Since the establishment of the State Accreditation Service in April 2012, 38 labs have been accredited', the report says.
