By the special order from president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Iran has started to stockpile emergency first products, deputy minister of mineral resource industry Hassan Radmard said, Mehr reported.
Radmard noted that this process in the country has already started, and Iran plans to be able to keep the most necessary products, enough to hold for approximately 3 months, in case of emergency.
The deputy minister said that the stockpiling the products (which include mostly food - wheat, sugar, raw meat, rice) has already started. Some of the products are being imported from outside countries as well.
Radmard said that currently products that arrive from other countries via ports, are now being unloaded.
Behind this move by Iran, stand the so-called "economy of resistance" that the country is currently trying to implement.
Days ago Iran held an urgent meeting regarding the "economy of resistance", establishing special headquarters which will handle concrete emergency problems caused by the imposed sanctions on the Islamic Republic.
This headquarters has been established from the members of Iran's Iranian parliament, presidential administration and the juridical system - a total of 9 people.
Iranian parliament speaker Ali Larijani noted at the meeting that the goal of the "economy of resistance" is to stop the impact of high prices on the nation, and to lower the deficit of the goods.
