Turkmen President instructs to speed up collector-drainage network construction in Ashgabat

Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov instructed to speed up the construction of the collector-drainage network in the capital. The operations are being conducted by Ukrainian company "Interbudmontazh", the Turkmen government said today.

This issue was discussed at the government meeting.

Ashgabat's administration planned to conclude an additional agreement with the "Interbudmontazh" in spring for design work associated with completing the construction of a drainage-communication tunnel, sewage treatment facilities with a capacity of 300,000 cubic meters per day, operations of connecting a power station with a capacity 110/10 kW, 25 MWA to the main system in the northern part of Ashgabat.

These facilities must be constructed in October 2015.

The information has been previously published on the website of the Ukrainian Embassy in Turkmenistan. According to the previous contract, "Interbudmontazh" dealt with the implementation of the project of constructing a drainage and communication tunnel worth $358 million, including the first phase - $204 million (length 16.5 km and two drainage collectors with a total length 7.4 km) and the second phase - $154 million in Ashgabat.
