Money supply ups by over one third in Azerbaijan

Money supply (M2) (cash in circulation (outside banks) and remainders in the domestic currency on accounts of non-financial organizations, financial (excluding credit) organizations and individuals) in January-June 2012 increased by 34.5 percent compared to the same period of 2011, and increased by 2.6 percent compared to June 1 2012, the statistical report of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) said on Tuesday.

So, as of July 1, 2012, the rate of M2 was 11.753.7 billion manat compared to 8.735.4 billion manat as of July 1, 2011 and 11.456.7 billion manat as of early June, 2012.

The amount of cash money supply (M0) as of July 1, 2012 hit 7.751.8 billion manat compared to 5.851.6 billion manat as of July 1, 2011 and 7.509.9 billion manat as of June 1, 2012.

As of early July, 2012, Broad Money Supply (M3) totaled 14.527.5 billion manat compared to 11.412.5 billion manat as of early July, 2011 and 14.579.5 billion manat as of early June, 2012.

The transaction money (M1) amounted to 9.456.6 billion manat as of early July, 2012 compared to 7.126.4 billion manat as of early July 2011 and 9.194.7 billion manat as of early June, 2012.

The official exchange rate is 0.7855 manat to $1 on Aug.14.
