Iran exports to Iraq up 37%

Iran exported some 3.55 billion dollars worth of goods to Iraq in the first seven months of current Iranian calendar year, which began March 20.

The figure shows a 37 percent increase in comparison to the same period previous year, the ILNA News Agency reported.

Iran also imported some 53.6 million dollars worth of goods from Iraq in the same period, three percent less than the previous year.

Iran and the Kurdistan region's economic transactions account for 59 percent ‎of Iran and Iraq's total economic trades.‎

The ‎capital of Iraq's Kurdistan region, Arbil, hosted the first Tehran-Arbil ‎Economic Cooperation Conference earlier this month. ‎

At the end of the conference, the two sides signed a memorandum of ‎understanding, the IRNA News Agency reported.‎
