Kaz Trans Oil’s share prices up in Kazakhstan

The price for one ordinary share of Kazakh company "KazTransOil" (KTO) at auction as of late May amounted to 842.36 tenge, Deputy General Director of KazTransOil JSC Bolat Zakirov announced on Friday.

"The price per share as of late May amounts to 842.36 tenge, or 16.2 percent more than the IPO price (725 tenge)," Zakirov said during the roundtable meeting on circulation of the KTO shares in the secondary market.

Secondary trading of KTO shares on the stock exchange began in Kazakhstan on December 25, 2012.

"The KTO shares are stable. Despite the fact that KASE index decreased at a certain time, the dynamics for the KTO share prices remained positive," Zakirov said.

According to him, the final placement of all shares on the basis of the "People's IPO" is as follows: NC KazMunaiGas JSC owns 90 percent of shares, 33,989 citizens of Kazakhstan acquired ownership of nearly eight percent of the shares, 10 pension funds acquired a little over two percent of the shares, 0.05 percent were purchased by a market maker.

The official exchange rate on 31 May is 51.08 Tenge / $ 1.
