Prior to June 1, 2014, the Kazakh government must complete a revision of all laws regulating small and medium businesses, Kazakh Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov said on Feb. 17.

He made the remarks at a meeting dedicated to issues fulfilling the Kazakh president's instructions, given during an expanded meeting of the government on February 14.

"Before June 1 this year, it is necessary to conduct an audit of all legal normative acts regulating the business environment, in order to simplify administrative procedures for entrepreneurs," he said.

It was previously reported that Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev gave instructions to strengthen the fight against illegal inspections of entrepreneurs in the country.

"We have a republican commission headed by Karim Massimov and I have instructed him to present me with suggestions in two weeks in order to prepare a draft decree," Kazakh president said at a government meeting.

The president also stressed that the state allocates large funds for the development of small and medium-sized businesses.
