Young leaders of Russia, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Iran will discuss issues of entrepreneurship, environment, journalism and intercultural interaction on the Caspian Youth Summit in the Astrakhan region, RIA Novosti said to the press service of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs.
Youth Summit will be held September 28-29 in Astrakhan on the sidelines of the Fourth Summit of the Caspian littoral states, the main theme of which will be to define the legal status of the Caspian Sea. Russia, Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan have hold negotiations on the division of the sea shelf for more than 20 years.
"Representatives of the five countries will participate in the Caspian Youth Summit. The event is designed to create conditions for strengthening ties between the youth of the country through the elaborationt and development of the existing international youth projects," the press-service of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs said.
The work of the summit will be held in five areas: youth media, youth entrepreneurship, intercultural dialogue and ecology, according to information on the website of the agency on Youth of the Astrakhan region.
The event will be attended by curators and leaders of youth associations, nonprofit organizations, student unions and associations, public opinion leaders, as well as representatives of the executive authorities engaged in the state youth policy.
It is expected that the summit participants will develop a resolution on youth cooperation, including the establishment of the Association of Youth of the Caspian region. In addition, young leaders will hand this resolution over to senior management of the national delegations, the site of the Agency on Youth Affairs of the Astrakhan region said.
