About 3.68 billion Azerbaijani manats were invested in Azerbaijan’s oil and gas sphere in January-May 2016, which is by 33.3 percent more than in the same period of 2015, says the report of the country’s State Statistical Committee.
The official exchange rate is 1,5210 AZN/USD as of June 20.
During the reporting period, the total amount of investments in Azerbaijan’s industrial sphere amounted to 3.91 billion manats, which is by 11.5 percent less than in January-May 2015. About 3.67 billion manats of this amount were invested in the country’s mining industry in January-May 2016, which is by 8.4 percent less than in the same period of 2015.
Investments in production, distribution and supply of electricity, gas and heating amounted to 62.9 million manats in January-May 2016, which is by 13.1 percent more than in the same period of 2015.
