In the 2015-2016 marketing year Kazakhstan exported almost 8.37 million tons of grain and flour, Kazakh agriculture ministry reported. Flour accounted for 35.2 percent of this amount.
The 2015-2016 marketing year started on July 1, 2015 and ended on June 30, 2016.
In 2016-2017 marketing year, which began July 1, Kazakhstan exported 667,600 tons of grain and flour.
Kazakhstan harvested 19.95 million tons of grain in 2015, which is 16 percent more than in 2014. Kazakhstan is among the world's major grain exporters.
