The Azerbaijani State Customs Committee hopes to fulfill the forecast on transfers to the state budget for 2017, Aydin Aliyev, head of the committee, told reporters in Baku Oct. 3.

The forecast on transfers on customs duties and taxes has been set at 2.2 billion manats (official exchange rate for Oct. 3 is 1.6170 AZN/USD) for 2017, which is 21.5 percent more than the forecast for 2016.

"Despite the forecast on transfers increased up to 2.2 billion manats for the customs bodies, which is a lot, we hope that we will be able to completely fulfill it," Aliyev added.

He added that as of October 1, 2016, the committee transferred 1.653 billion manats to the state budget, which exceeds the forecast by more than 20 percent.

"We over-fulfilled the forecast on customs duties by 41 percent for September,” he said. “This allows us to think about the possibility of fulfilling the forecast on transfers (1.810 billion manats) to the state budget in October, but we will ensure additional transfers in the remaining two months."
