Turkey is introducing a new system of cash receipts with QR codes, which will be issued during the payment of services and when buying goods, the Turkish Ministry of Customs and Trade told Trend Jan. 11.

The new system will avoid forgery of receipts, said the ministry.

The new system will also allow preventing various negative cases during the return of purchased goods, added the ministry.

Testing the new receipts with QR codes was carried out in the Turkish banking system in 2017, according to the ministry.

The percentage ratio of receipts with QR codes was 3.7 percent in early January 2017, and reached 64.5 percent by the end of the year, added the ministry.
