President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has sent a message to participants of the 14th specialized exhibition of Iran (March 1-3) and the Turkmen-Iranian business forum organized as part of the exhibition.

Turkmenistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry is the organizer of the event.

Turkmenistan is interested in cooperation with Iranian entrepreneurs in order to promote domestic goods on regional and global markets, the message said.

Entrepreneurs of the two countries will be given opportunities to conduct negotiations aimed at strengthening economic cooperation and exchanging views on the identification of priority vectors for mutually beneficial partnership, the Turkmen president noted.

Iran is the third most important foreign trade partner of Turkmenistan.

Turkmenistan mainly exports natural gas to Iran and China.

Meanwhile, Turkmenistan supplies Iran with oil products, electricity and textile goods.

The Turkmen market receives vegetables, fruits, construction materials, products from ferrous and non-ferrous metals, plastics, ceramics, and vehicles from Iran.
