Kazakhstan's oil condensate production up by more than 5%

Since the beginning of the year, the oil condensate production in Kazakhstan amounted to 67.3 million tons, First Vice Minister of Energy Makhambet Dosmukhambetov said at a government meeting, according to Kazinform.

"This is a growth of 5.3 percent compared to the corresponding period of 2017 and 3.7 percent to the plan for the 9 months of this year," he said.

Oil production in three major projects of Kazakhstan amounted to 40.2 million tons – 9.5 million in Kashagan field, 21.5 million in Tengiz field, and 9.2 million tons in Karachaganak field, according to Dosmukhambetov.

The export of Kazakh oil has also increased.

"Oil exports amounted to 54.2 million tons, which is an increase of 4.6 percent compared to the same period in 2017," the first vice minister said.

He also spoke about the situation in Kazakhstan’s fuels and lubricants market.

"As of October 10, the amount of fuel and lubricant residues is sufficient to cover the needs of the domestic market. Reserves of AI-92 gasoline are 327,000 tons, and of diesel fuel - 200,600 tons, which is enough for 17 days," said Dosmukhambetov.
