Azerbaijan intends to open a trading house in Beijing in 2019, Azerbaijani Deputy Minister of Economy Rufat Mammadov said at a briefing in Baku on Nov. 14.

“Trading and wine houses are also planned to be opened in other regions of China,” he said.

"This is related to appeals, as everything depends on the participation of the private sector,” he said. “Our goal is to expand trade relations with various regions of China. For this purpose, the opening of trading and wine houses is a practical and effective mechanism.”

Two trading and two wine houses of Azerbaijan have been already opened in China.

"Wine houses are located in Urumqi and Shanghai,” he said. “In particular, over 120 types of wine from 15 companies are represented in Shanghai today. Wine and food of Azerbaijani producers are sold through a trading house operating in China’s Luzhou city. Today, any Azerbaijani exporter can supply products to the Chinese market through trading houses and there are no restrictions on that."
