Azerbaijan has begun the process of creating model farms in two priority agrarian segments, Adviser to the Minister of Agriculture for Innovations Shabnam Mammadova told Trend.
Mammadova noted that model farms will be created to support such important agriculture sectors as cotton and grain growing.
"Modern equipment as well as innovative approaches will be used in these two segments of agriculture. We have developed a package of offers and we expect to raise the development of cotton production to the desired level. This area has always been considered profitable and promising, so now, when new ideas and technologies have appeared, our task is to correctly implement all these mechanisms," Mammadova said.
She noted that the creation of model farms will also have a positive effect on the grain production segment.
