In October 2018, 55 construction companies were registered in Turkey, which is by 117 companies less compared to the same month in 2017, the Turkish Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB) told Trend Nov. 21.
At the same time, in October 2018, most of construction companies were registered in Turkey.
In October 2018, 31 companies rendering IT services were registered in the country, which is by seven companies less compared to September 2018.
"In October, 17 electricity generation companies were also registered in Turkey, which is by 11 companies less compared to the same month in 2017," the TOBB stated.
"In October, the number of companies registered in Turkey increased by 2.24 percent, and the number of registered cooperatives increased by 19.70 percent," TOBB stated.
The state agency noted that in October 2018, 7,081 companies and 79 cooperatives were registered in Turkey.
TOBB also noted that in January-October 2018, some 71,907 companies and cooperatives were registered in Turkey.
TOBB noted that the number of closed companies decreased by 8.72 percent, and the number of closed cooperatives decreased by 11.82 percent in the first ten months of 2018.
In October 2018, 248 bank branches opened and 203 bank branches closed in Turkey.
