The first transit train from the Kazakh port of Aktau to Tashkent was sent via the Trans-Caspian international transport route, Trend reports with reference to Uzbekistan Railways.

The main work on the loading and unloading of containers is carried out in the logistics centers of Cukursai, Sergeli and Havast. The bank branches, currency exchange offices, ATMs are installed there. Furthermore, customs points, large cargo warehouses, and storage room for cargo vehicles are functioning.

The Sergeli section of the Tashkent branch of JSC O‘ztemiryo‘lkonteyner is also one of the main receiving and departure units. Currently, there is effective cooperation with major transport companies such as UNICO LOGISTICS, Inter Rail Service and GM Uzbekistan.

These transport companies export such products as legumes, fruits, semi-finished grape juice and licorice root to Russia, China, Korea and France. Paper, metal, building materials, cars and accessories for electrical equipment are imported back in Uzbekistan.
