In January-April 2019, Turkish citizens looking for job opportunities most of all visited Russia, Saudi Arabia and Germany, Trend reports referring to the Turkish Employment Agency (ISKUR).
According to ISKUR, during the reported period, 940 Turkish citizens visited Russia via the agency, which is 8.5 percent less compared to the same period in 2018.
ISKUR noted that, in January-April 2019, 802 citizens of Turkey visited Saudi Arabia via the agency, which is 34.4 percent less compared to the same period last year.
In January-April 2019, 678 Turkish citizens visited Germany through the agency, which is 105.5 percent more compared to the same period last year.
According to ISKUR, in April 2019, 122,913 Turkish citizens were provided with jobs in Turkey, which is 46.5 percent more compared to the same month last year.
Of those employed in April 2019 in Turkey, men and women accounted for 68 and 32 percent, respectively. Among them, 99.6 percent accounted for the private sector.
In April 2019, the number of unemployed in Turkey amounted to 3.038 million people, of which 50.1 percent were women, 49.9 percent - men.
