A new cement plant will be built in the Kattakurgan district of Uzbek Samarkand region, Trend reports with reference to Uzbek media.
The project will be implemented with the participation of the Chinese company Gansu Hengya Cement Co. Ltd in 2019-2021. The project cost is $340 million. After its commissioning, the plant will produce up to 2.4 million tons of cement annually.
At first stage, the Chinese company will launch the first line with a capacity of 1.2 million tons per year in 2020. At this stage, investments of $220 million will be mastered.
The second line with a capacity of 1.2 million tons per year will be commissioned in 2021. The cost of this stage will be $120 million.
The plant will produce 480,000 tons of cement M600, 480,000 tons of cement M500 (white), 480,000 tons of cement M500 (gray) and 960,000 tons of cement M400.
It is expected that the enterprise will annually export 136,000 tons of cement M600, 336,000 tons of cement M500 (white), 336,000 tons of cement M500 (gray) and 672,000 tons of cement M400.
