So far, 70,000 tons of onions have been harvested from 2,000 hectares in Iran’s Sistan and Baluchestan province, said Alireza Dahmardeh, deputy director of the Agriculture Department in Sistan and Baluchestan Province, Trend reports via IRNA.
He said that onions were planted on 3,500 hectares this Iranian year (started March 21, 2019).
The onion harvest will continue until mid-July, he added.
